At the request of their Regional Resource Coordinator, CRSs from Ware and Coffee/Atkinson counties were asked to come up with ideas to present DHR values to the OFI Supervisors meeting for Region XI. With increased emphasis being placed on doing “the right work the right way” and a rededication of the values that we as staff should keep before us when serving our customers, the CRSs thought it would be appropriate to create table tents and value statement cards for the management staff. The table tents were created with the values enumerated on the front of the tents along with the goals. The CRSs decided that it would be a good idea to also list these values on blank business cards and laminate them for durability. Therefore, these cards could be carried with you and would serve as reminders that we play an important role in helping to strengthen Georgia’s families.

For the Supervisor’s meeting, the room was set up with the table tents and value statement cards placed at each seat. The CRSs also had these values largely written on a flip chart for the supervisors to see as they entered the room.

The CRS for Ware County decided to make the value statement cards for all of the staff at her agency. At the agency’s general staff meeting, the CRS made a small presentation regarding the importance of these values and presented each staff member with a value card. Also, the CRS for Ware County has a file for creating bookmarks if anyone is interested in using this file for displaying the values.
