Month. Coffee County DFCS Resource
Development Case Manager, Kim Gilbert, placed this 30 second Public Service
Announcement on a local radio station.
Ms. Gilbert had a child who is currently in foster care to read the
following announcement on the radio:
Hate to wait? Try waiting for something big, like
parents. I want a mom to listen to
me. I hope I’ll get a dad who will take
me to ball games. A dog would really be
nice too. I want parents to take care of
me. I want a mom and dad who will be there
for me. Foster or Adopt. Maybe it’s what you’ve been waiting for

information.
The response has been very
good, and a lot of people mention the impact hearing this from a child has had
on them.
